Lintara Silver: Press Release - Lintara Silver to be featured on The Silver Shop.
Lintara Silver is proud to announce it's arrive this week as a featured silver brand on http://www.thesilvershop.com.au
After The Silver Shop agreed to stock our jewellery we knew it was time to find the right photographer to help us capture the brand.
We found that person in Michael Martin from his photo studio of the same name. He managed to shoot 130 products in the Lintara Silver line including photoshopping and model shots in less than a week! It was an incredible feat and the results of the shoot speak for themselves.

New Silver & Shell Pendants from Lintara
Silver and shell pendants are proving popular already this year. New additions to our sterling silver pendant range include green stained paua, red coral, mother of pearl, natural paua and many unique combinations of shell and precious gemstones. Visit www.lintarasilver.com to shop online for quality sterling silver pendants, shell pendants and more. For more information on silver and shell pendants, read on.
Natural Shell Pendants
Necklace pendants can be made with shells of all types. Scallop shells, cowries, and tritons all have very distinct silhouettes and contours. They evoke images of ancient beauty, gorgeous sea life, and the soothing crashing of waves. Making pendants that highlight the sea shells’ natural shape and loveliness can be done by taking a single shell or a cluster of shells and adorning them with delicate filigree or outlining them with silver. Their simplicity and charm make silver and shell pendants versatile pieces of jewelry, perfect for casual or formal occasions.
Carved Shell Pendants
Another popular style of jewelry that harnesses the beauty and uniqueness of sea shells are carved pendants. These pendants are often made to showcase the dazzling colors and rippling iridescence of sea shells like mother of pearl and abalone. These delicate materials are feminine, graceful, and a reminder of the incredible beauty of our natural world. Mother of pearl of abalone shells feature multicolor surfaces that shimmer and play with light prettily. They can range from deep purples and blues to milky white.
The coloring and elegance of the shell is highlighted and accentuated with silver settings and accents. Sea shells of this variety make wonderful pendants because they can be carved into all sorts of shapes and designs. You can find silver and shell pendants in shapes like butterflies, flowers, moons and stars, and much more. They are also very popular in simpler styles like ovals, teardrops, and rectangles.
Symbolism of Silver and Shell Pendants
Silver metal is symbolic of the soul and is tied to spiritual and psychological energies. It often represents gracefulness, class, and eloquence. It is also said to symbolize the connection between us and nature. It evokes feelings of coolness, fluidity, the moon and ocean, making it a perfect complement to shell jewelery.
Shells are often said to have mystical powers that draw us close to the natural world. As symbols of the sea, shells can signify our emotional lives, the flow of feelings and relationships echoing the waves and tides on a beach. In ancient Greek and Roman mythology shells were associated with fertility and regeneration, as the ocean was the source of all life. Venus (or Aphrodite), the goddess of love and a symbol of motherhood, was said to have risen from the water in a magnificent sea shell. Throughout history and into modern times, shells carry with them symbolic meanings linked with nature and beauty.

Silver and Shell Pendants
Sea shells have a natural elegance that makes them perfect for wearing as adornment. No two shells are ever exactly the same; each has unique shape, size and coloring, meaning that if you wear a shell pendant, you are wearing a one-of-a-kind piece. What is 925 Sterling Silver?
I have recently had many people asking me, "what is 925 sterling silver?"
Quite simply 925 sterling silver is 92.5% silver and 7.5% added metals such as "tin" which help to stabilise the silver and prevent it from tarnishing too easily. This standard of silver is used by craftsmen all over the world to create the fine pieces of sterling silver jewellery we see today.
Pure silver cannot be used in making jewelry as it is extremely malleable and it can suffer damage easily. It also tends to get very soft, even in conditions of normal temperature. That is why 925 sterling silver is used and not the pure form of the precious metal. All products including pendants, silver rings and silver bracelets on Lintara are made from 925 sterling silver.
